ARQFILMFEST ABRE CONVOCATORIA A 4° VERSIÓN
DE SU COMPETENCIA INTERNACIONAL
“LA CIUDAD ES…”
El Arquitectura Film Festival Santiago recibirá producciones audiovisuales de todo el mundo vinculadas a la arquitectura, la ciudad y la vida urbana hasta el 20 de julio de 2018.
En octubre de 2018 el Arquitectura Film Festival Santiago realizará su cuarta versión en diversas sedes del Barrio Lastarria, entre ellas, el Centro Gabriela Mistral GAM, el Museo de Artes Visuales MAVI, y el Teatro ICTUS.
En este marco, los organizadores invitan a realizadores de todo el mundo a participar en su competencia internacional “La Ciudad es…”, enviando obras audiovisuales -cortos y largometrajes-, cuyo tema sea la ciudad, el ambiente urbano y la arquitectura de edificios o ciudades, en las categorías documental, ficción, experimental y registro de arquitectura. El festival otorgará además una mención especial al “mejor cortometraje chileno” y “mejor largometraje chileno”.
Los interesados deben enviar sus obras hasta el 20 de julio próximo. Los ganadores recibirán el galardón del festival, un certificado de la organización y serán seleccionados para ser exhibidos en otros festivales de cine y arquitectura que se realicen en el período 2018-2020, en cualquier lugar del mundo.
El jurado estará compuesto por la arquitecta y gestora cultural Pola Mora (ArchDaily); la documentalista Tiziana Panizza (Cartas Visuales, 2005-2011; Tierra en Movimiento, 2014; y Tierra Sola, 2017); y la directora de la revista LaFuga.cl Carolina Urrutia (2Un Cine Centrífugo: Ficciones Chilenas 2005-2010”).
ArqFilmFest nació el 2012 como el primer festival de cine y arquitectura de Chile y Latinoamérica. Desde entonces se ha posicionado como un espacio para promover la comprensión, reflexión, debate y comunicación sobre arquitectura, ciudad y vida urbana a través del cine, construyendo nuevas audiencias, y, promoviendo la producción, circulación e intercambio de filmes sobre el tema en Chile y el extranjero.
En su cuarta versión, el Arquitectura Film Festival Santiago invitará a ver, sentir y pensar sobre las urbes del mundo a través de filmes, charlas, coloquios, workshops, instalaciones y eventos urbanos, durante cuatro días, en el Barrio Lastarria.

ARQFILMFEST OPENS CALL FOR THE 4TH VERSION OF INTERNATIONAL FILM COMPETITION “THE CITY IS…”
The Architecture Film Festival Santiago welcomes film productions from around the world linked to architecture, the city and urban life until July 20, 2018.
Santiago de Chile, May 2018 – In October 2018, the Architecture Film Festival Santiago will hold its fourth version in various venues of the Lastarria neighbourhood of Santiago, including the Centro Gabriela Mistral GAM, the MAVI Visual Arts Museum, and the ICTUS Theater.
In this context, the organizers invite filmmakers from around the world to participate in its international competition «The City is …» with shorts and feature films whose theme is the city, the urban environment, architecture of buildings and cities. The competition categories are: documentary, fiction, experimental and architecture documentation. The festival will also award a special mention for the «best Chilean short film» and «best Chilean film.
Those interested can submit their works until July 20, 2018. The winners will receive an award, a certificate from the organization and will be selected for screenings at another film and architecture festival in the period 2018-2020, anywhere in the world.
The jury will be made up of architect and cultural producer Pola Mora (ArchDaily), documentary maker Tiziana Panizza (Visual Letters, 2005-2011, Earth in Motion, 2014, and Tierra Sola, 2017) and director of magazine LaFuga.cl Carolina Urrutia (2 Centrifugal Cinema: Chilean Fictions 2005-2010″).
ArqFilmFest was born in 2012 as the first film festival about film and architecture in Chile and Latin America. Through cinema, Archfilmfest provides a space to promote the understanding, reflection, debate and communication about architecture, the city and urban. With these topics, ArqFilmFest reaches new audiences and promotes the production and exchange of film work across Chile and the world.
The fourth version of the festival will invite to see, feel and think about cities through films, talks, workshops, workshops and urban events, for four days, in Barrio Lastarria, Santiago de Chile.
